TOI fabric is made from 100% nylon with a polyurethane spray backing. The fabric weighs180gm per square metre. It has been waterproof tested to 600mm or 5.886 kPa (kilopascals).This equates to placing an open ended test tube directly onto the fabric and filling it up to 600mm. It does not leak up to that level.

TOI will keep your baby dry in rain for several hours. It will not keep them dry in a monsoon or for prolonged periods (for example 8 hours) but very few parents would allow their babyto be out in the rain all day or in dangerous weather.
